APPROACHES & METHODS

The major threads of my work are:

Intergenerational
change-making

Communication across and amongst difference

Cultural awareness and
community building

Youth voice, empowerment and engagement

Equity and
systems evolution

Creative expression and multiple ways of knowing

I believe in…

Listening as an act of love. Questioning as an act of bravery. Sharing honestly as an act of connection. Expressing oneself as an act of engaging with life.

Along with these beliefs, I strive to do my work with these elements ever present.

I work primarily in an interdisciplinary fashion and utilize an inquiry-based, experiential learning theory and practice lens which asks us all to become central meaning-makers in our lives.

I believe purposeful questions can offer powerful insights, though often only if we are willing to live for a while with “not knowing.” We must also often endure the chaos of unknowing, while moving courageously through inquiry and discovery.  My approach dives powerfully into the why and includes invitations into our many ways of knowing in order to access boundless creativity.

I have studied extensively in many methods and approaches, focusing deeply in experiential theory and practice, systemic phenomenological work, and conflict transformation and communication methodologies. I have also learned a lot from life.

I infuse the following theories, methods, approaches and practices in my work in a variety of ways:
