CONNECT WITH DEB

I love working with communities and individuals who are thinking deeply and dreaming boldly.

I welcome big questions and seemingly impossible dreams. I love to explore people and patterns and am continually inspired by those who have the courage to be and express themselves. I believe in digging deep with people, organizations and groups and am comfortable with discomfort and difficulties, as that which heals and transforms often resides in those places.

As a practitioner I am fiercely committed to real connection, imagination as essential and looking and listening honestly at self and systems. I am also not afraid of the practical and brave applications which are often necessary for change.

Some of what guides my work is a deep connection to my roots, a profound reverence for mystery and the unknown, a lived experience of the vast interconnectedness of life, my curious and rebellious nature, and a true love of humanity. Some of my inspirations are listed below, however there are far too many to fit in one small list.

I am an educational and organizational consultant, a program and curriculum designer and a seasoned facilitator and my work centers around systems evolution, intentional process and creative possibilities. I work locally, nationally, and internationally and have spent over a decade working in and out of the Middle East, North Africa, the Gulf, the Balkans, Europe and North America in the areas of creative, embodied facilitation, conflict transformation, leadership development, experiential education, youth empowerment and advocacy, school and community engagement and development, multiculturalism and equity, multi-stakeholder processes, intergenerational change-making and organizational strategic systems thinking.

I am a Portland Maine based global citizen and a TED talk and speaker coach, a youth mentor, life-long explorer, human being on a healing path, a poet and published writer, entrepreneur and an auntie, among other things.
